The laptop was working fine till yesterday when the laptop shut itself down due to battery drainage and now the laptop does not boot. Now when the laptop is tried to boot, all the LED's on the laptop glow and but then nothing happens. I cant figure out what is causing such problem and hence if anybody else is facing similar Boot failure after battery drain then please suggest some solutions. Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The battery of the laptop must be out of charge due to which it is not able to provide enough power to the laptop and hence the laptop is not booting. Sometimes the battery of the laptop does not get charged when the laptop is connected to the battery charger. Therefore connect the laptop to the AC adapter and check if the laptop is charging. Let the laptop charge for about 3 to 4 hours and then try and boot the laptop. If the battery has enough charge in it, then the laptop will boot without any problem.

The functions which are carried out by the computer are controlled by the motherboard. Motherboard is responsible for providing correct voltage levels to all the devices which are connected. Hence if the motherboard of the computer is not working properly, then the laptop will not work properly. Therefore get the motherboard of the laptop checked by some technician. If the motherboard is faulty then there is no other option than to replace the motherboard. Once the motherboard is replaced, you will not face the same problem again.

Try booting the system using the installation disk of the operating system which you are using. Insert the installation disk in the drive and boot the system from the installation disk. Let the installer load and give the installation options. Select Repair current windows installation option or install a fresh copy of Windows. Let the procedure complete. After completing the procedure, see if the laptop is working properly or not. To boo the system from the installation disk, you will have to change the booting sequence of the laptop from hard disk drive to CD drive and save the settings.

Sometimes the RAM chips of the laptop get dislocated from their respective slots. If such a situation occurs then the system will not be able to access the RAM chips and hence the computer will not boot. Open the laptop and remove the RAM chips from their respective slots. Clean the connecting terminals of the RAM and replace them back in their respective slots. Check if the system boots. If there are multiple chips, then try booting the system using single RAM chip at a time. If for a particular RAM chip if the system does not boot, then discard the RAM chip as it may be faulty.

There is battery located on the motherboard of the computer which is responsible for storing all the information which is required for the system to boot. Open the laptop and locate the battery on the motherboard. Remove the battery and check the voltage of the battery using Digital multimeter. The voltage of the battery should be between 2.5 to 3 volts. If the voltage of the battery is less than 2.5 volts then replace the battery. Replacing the battery will solve the problem.
