Acer Aspire 7535G performance issues

Hello there, I have an Acer Aspire 7535G laptop which is installed with Windows Xp operating system on it. I use the laptop for playing games and surfing internet and it was working great but from few days, the performance of the computer has really degrading. All the applications take lot of time to open on the laptop. Also the games lag while playing the games. So if anybody is facing similar Acer Aspire 7535G performance issues then please suggest some solutions.

The operating system which is installed on the computer must be corrupt due to which you are facing such problems. The operating system of the computer has lot of files associated to it. If any of the file which is associated to the operating system is corrupt or missing on the system then the operating system will not work properly. Try reinstalling the operating system on the computer again and see if the problem continues. To reinstall the operating system on the computer, insert the installation disk and boot the system from the disk. Complete the procedure and check if the problem persist.

I think the issue which you are facing is due to heating of the component. To execute every process on the computer, CPU has to work which heats up the CPU. There is a threshold temperature set for the CPU of the computer. If the temperature of the CPU rises above the threshold temperature then the performance of the computer suffers. Therefore check if the laptop is cooled properly. Check if the cooling fan of the laptop is working properly or not. Clean the cooling fan if the fan is covered with dust as dust can block the airflow.

The performance of the computer depends on the system RAM of the computer. All the processes which are to be executed on the computer are first copied to the RAM of the computer and then executed from there. If the system is not able to access the system RAM or if the system RAM is full then the applications will take lot of time to open. I would suggest you to upgrade the system RAM on the computer and then see if the performance of the computer improves.

Games can lag on the computer if the processor has multiple cores. The laptops today have multicore processors. Multicore processors are not meant for gaming and hence when gaming applications are started on the computer it will lag. You will have to disable the extra processing core while playing the game. To remove the extra processing core, start the game and then open the task manager. Go to processes tab and right click on Game process. Select Set affinity and remove one of the processing core. Click on OK and resume the game.
