XP installation problem over Acer Aspire 5315

Hello friend,

I am using the Acer Aspire 5315 laptop from three months. I am using windows XP operating system with it. I am getting some problem over windows XP operating system, because of that I wanted to reinstall the Windows XP. But when I inserts the bootable CD, I get error message saying that 'There is bootable media'. Because of this I am not able to complete the re-installation of windows XP over my Acer laptop. I wonder if you are able to help me over this issue.

I think there might have some hardware problem with your Acer Aspire 5315. Which doesn't allows you to install windows XP operating system. I think you need to take help of Acer service center in the way to solve this hardware error. You can can also try to take help of local computer engineer. They might solve your issue.

I had similar problem with my computer. I was also getting the same error while installation of windows XP operating system. At that time my friend suggested me to try new bootable of windows XP. As per his suggestion I tried another windows xp installation cd. Surprisingly I didn't get any error at that time. I you should try the same procedure.

There are many factors which will cause this type of issue while installation of windows xp operating system. Most of the times the corrupted bootable CD may cause error during the installation of any operating system. There might be some issue with your hard disk also. And which cause the installation error.

• Try installation with new xp installation CD.
• Check your cd drive for any hardware issue.
• Take help of service center of your laptop.
