HP Mini 2140 vs Asus Eee PC 1005 HA.

Hello Everybody, I am planning for buying a new notebook but i am getting confused between two models. I have HP Mini 2140 and Asus Eee PC 1005 HA in my mind but not able to decide that which to buy. I would be glad if somebody can provide me some informations about HP Mini 2140 vs Asus Eee PC 1005 HA.

These both netbooks are good at their standard. HP Mini 2140 has a Intel Atom N270 Processor clocking at 1.6 GHz with RAM of 1Gb DDR2 SDRAM where as Asus Eee PC 1005 HA has a Intel Atom N280 Processor with 1GB DDR2 SDRAM(667 MHz). So the difference between the processors used in these both netbooks differs slightly as Asus runs bit faster then the HP.

If we talk about the designs of both of these netbooks then i would say that Asus Eee PC 1005 HA has quite good and smaller look and feel becaus eof the hinges given at the base of screen. The design of the Hp Mini 2140 continues with its standard design which is also a popular one. I think design shoudl not be a much bigger factor to compare both netbooks but at the end if you are confused, So i would like to suggest you to go with Asus according to its design.

Key board used in the HP Mini 2140 is 96% of a full sized keyboard with the water resistant feature and same with the Asus Eee PC 1005 HA is an average one. But due to bigger keyboard in HP Mini 2140, Its touchpad had to make sacrifice but its again an average one in Asus Eee PC 1005 HA. You can say that Touchpad of HP Mini loses against Asus Eee.

Though there is not much difference between the display screen of HP Mini 2140 and Asus Eee PC 1005 HA. There is only a difference of resolution as both of the netbooks has 10.1 inches of display screen. HP Mini 2140's screen comes with 1024 X 576 pixels resolution where as Asus Eee PC 1005 HA's screen comes with 1024 X 600 pixels resolution which is little bit better then the Hp Mini 2140. Both the screen are glossy and bright.

The Main difference between the Price tag of HP Mini 2140 and Asus Eee PC 1005 HA is of $100, That is HP Mini 2140 will costing around $450 where as Asus one will be going around $350. Dimensions of Asus Eee PC 1005 HA are 10.3 x 7 x 1.5 inches and weighs 2.7 pounds with six cell battery and same of the HP Mini 2140 are 10.3 X 6.5 X 1.1 inches and weighs 3.0 pounds with six cell batteries. Battery life of the Asus Eee PC 1005 HA is just longer then the Hp by one hour.

i am currently on my asus pc 1005 it is a fast excellant computer i suggest the the asus and they all have led hd screens
