While many security companies do not tire of talking about the virus for smartphones and even some already sell antivirus for these platforms (not want to lose market), the fact is that so far designed for mobile viruses pose no significant threat . This is because any smartphone operating system is popular enough to be a threat to spread successfully. But if tomorrow a platform specific part of the market monitor, so if we could begin to worry a lot about viruses.

    Re: Types of Smartphone Attacks

A study indicates that if a virus tries to spread via Bluetooth in an operating system that controls 10% of global mobile telephony, it could be months before the virus is distributed on all phones. But if that platform has 30% market share, the virus may be spread in a few hours in more than 85% of phones and almost all in one week. For now it is very difficult for a virus to spread on a platform as to cause a major alarm. However, as smartphones continue to gain popularity and users will begin to focus on a single operating system, the virus will also begin to assume greater importance.

Although you may not believe the Smartphones are now potential victims of attacks by viruses and malwares something that should not be too surprised because in essence running various functions through Operating System Windows Mobile, Symbian, etc. You can use Trend Micro. It Protects smartphones and PDAs against data loss, infections and attacks from a centralized enterprise console that can also manage desktop protection. The encryption and authentication defend the integrity of data lost or stolen devices. Anti-malware features block viruses, worms, Trojans and spam SMS text messages.

Damages created by malware on a smartphone are sending mass SMS and MMS or dial premium rate numbers without your noticing, but you have to pay. They delete your personal information (eg, address book, files, etc..) Or steal confidential information. Disable functions on the phone (SMS, games, camera, etc..) Or disable the whole device. It drains the phone battery faster than usual. It send infected files in your name (via email, WiFi, Bluetooth, etc.). Transfer malicious code from the smartphone to a PC upon connection
