I would like to play games CS , Fallout3, COD, etc. Before this i had IBM desktop computer with me, but now its dead. So, dad is ready to purchase a new notebook for me and budget is around $500 or maybe few more hundred dollar i can add. So, please suggest me which notebook(i.e. of DELL, HP, LG, Sony, Asus etc) would be best to buy for gaming?

Right now the only notebook i would suggest to consider if gaming is an important feature you want, then it will be Asus N10J series. This Asus N10J is like the all other regular Asus notebooks only, but it includes a nVidia 9300M video card. This will help you in gaming. But it is not that great also, but bit faster than a standard notebook would be. So my choice would be ASUS N10J for gaming concern.

You would that the serious gamers are always concern with graphics, because graphics makes their gaming better and better. And rightly so! graphics or the quality of the graphics chip set used in your notebook will be first thing for consideration and it will greatly determine the gaming performance. The Rock Xtreme 790, Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q850 and new Alienware M17x are best in gaming. This are best because they have powerful NVIDIA GPUs, including 1GB of discrete DDR3 graphics memory.
Hope you can fix your problem.

The hot-blooded gamers always wants/need a very high and most powerful hardware to make them satisfy. For better gaming you need better or best graphics support and this best graphics tends to lead price more or higher. So i think you need to increase alot your budget in order to get best gaming laptop. Some of best gaming laptop/notebook are: 1] Alienware M17x (Core 2 Duo T9550 Processor 2.66GHz, 4GB RAM)
    2] Asus G70 (Core 2 Duo T9500 Processor 2.6GHz, 4GB RAM)
    3] Asus W90 (Core 2 Duo T9550 Processor 2.66GHz, 6GB RAM)
    4] Gateway P7809G (Core 2 Duo P8700 Processor 2.53GHz, 4GB RAM)
    5] Toshiba Qosmio X300 (Core 2 Duo T9400 Processor 2.53GHz, 4GB
    RAM)
    This are all above $500.

According to me your budget is very low to best of gaming notebooks in the market. The best gaming notebooks goes above one hundred dollar. So, tell your dad this and see you increase your budget or not. If dad say yes to it then you can go for: ProStar laptop W870CU or W860CU. This both are very good gaming purpose. The W870CU has nVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M Graphics with 1GB GDDR3 Video Memory and W860CU also same i.e has nVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M Graphics with 1GB GDDR3 Video Memory but display is 15.6" Full HD(1920x1080) and W870CU has 17.3" Full HD(1920x1080).

If you increase your budget to $1000 then would suggest you to buy new launched Toshiba Satellite WXW( a gaming notebook). I think it is first notebook with graphics powered by 8700M GT GPU. This WFW laptop has 17.2 inch display and is based on Intel latest mobile platform Santa Rosa and packs with DirectX 10 capable GeForce 8700M GT GPU with 1GB VRAM. Battery life is of 3hours. And this notebook would cost you around $1805. Hope you can make choice for your new notebook.
