Samsung aims to revolutionize the keyboard

    Hello,
For now, this is just a patent filed by Samsung, but it could be the future of smartphones. Indeed, the Korean manufacturer has filed a patent with the U.S. authorities for a keyboard that is deployed on each side of the phone.
In view of the sketch, we immediately think of an airplane with its wings. If one believes the arguments from Samsung, this type of keyboard is ideal for writing emails and text messages, or play. Currently, three trends stand out side the most advanced phones:
1 - the iPhone virtual keyboard type
2 - the type QWERTY keyboard BlackBerry
3 - the sliding keyboard type HTC Touch Pro
Samsung could be the source of a new trend, although for the moment, it seems likely that this will remain at the prototype stage.

    Hi,
Even I have heard about the samsung's new keyboard. Currently it is not in the market, that is, it is not been released yet. For now, I have an image or can say a prototype of the new keyboard of samsung. Just take a look.
Really a new concept to the mobile technology. I am really excited for the release of the samsung's new keyboard technology.

    Hello,
I use the keyboard type e71 (or blackberry). It is affected through specific buttons, allows me to write faster compared to a touch screen phones. When it comes to sliding, the idea is good but in practice, sliding constantly making work more difficult, when send lots of sms or email. Still, the samsung's new keyboard is a interesting concept. Lets wait for the launch and see how it works.

    Hello
It's very interesting, but ergonomically speaking I think they should keep only one wing, one hand already being used to keep the phone in the palm and the balance during the stroke, there remains only one other hand, having to go over the screen to pick up the keys lying on the other wing is not very practical. However, it is quite possible that the 2 blades are actually the same but reversed keyboards, so for once actually facilitate the grip for right-handed but also left-handed! In short, the patent (if they asked) is a property and can be very profitable. I have an LG Viewty and I must admit that even if the Touch has its charm, is far from being as practical as a key hard, especially when the screen is not multi-touch.

    Hi
Good idea if this keyboard is sturdy in the end! The keyboard I use is the QWERTY keyboard WiMo. By checking both options, we obtain for large and key actions mainly by movement of the stylus. For example, if I click on the 'p' and my pen goes up, I'd do a "P". Towards the right space. To the left, a backspace. The interest is that it works with punctuation too. The "@" is considered the capital of "_". So, when we know the keyboard, it becomes very quick!

    Hi
I agree with you on that point ergonomic. Regarding the number of hands that can vary, specialists use both sms which increases the number of key presses. If this keyboard came out it would certainly rethink their way of writing on a laptop. Not sure that everyone does. Personally, I have a Player and an iPhone and I prefer the iPhone to landscape mode and with both hands I can very well write my mail and sms. Choosing my opinion for such a keyboard would worry me more than anything else.
