Need GPRS settings for G5 U800 mobile phone

Hello there, I have a G5 U800 mobile phone (china) and an Airtel connection.The problem is that i need GPRS settings for my phone to access the internet.I don't know if the phone has GPRS settings already or do i have to configure it manually to access internet?and if the settings are required from where can i get the gprs settings for my mobile phone?Please help

The best way to get the GPRS settings for your phone is by contacting the service provider.First you need to tell the service provider to activate GPRS on your sim card and then ask them for the settings.You just need to tell them your mobile model and make and they will send the settings via message within 24 hours.

Are you sure that G5 U800 phone supports gprs? be sure before activating gprs on your SIM card.I don't think the phone you are using provides support to gprs so even if you get the settings from the operator it would not be of any use.I am not sure about this but just make sure you have all the information about the phone before proceeding

I dont have the exact gprs settings for G5 u800 phone but you can try these basic settings and check if you can access the internet.
Open Menu -- Go to Services--Select Wap and Data account--Select WAP and Select Settings--Now SIM as Airtel.
Now go to Edit profile and select an empty profile from list below--Rename the profile as Mobile Office (Enter all values exactly as typed here).
Now enter the details as follows.
Home page:www.yahoo.com
Data account: Mobile Office
connection type:wap (enter the following ip address in the blank tab :202.056.231.117)
username: (dont enter anything)
password: (dont enter anything)
Data account
Account name:Mobile Office
APN:airtelgprs.com
user name (dont enter anything)
password: (dont enter anything)
authentication: Select normal for authentication.
