    I want to reset my laptop with right settings

    One month before i submitted my laptop in HCL service center to repair. But when get it back i saw that every thing is changed in system. They installed a setting of different computer, now my computer in totally different from what i given to them, I don't have any back up for restore settings. can you tell me how to restore previous settings.

    You can recover that data but it is very difficult. You can contact a software engineer who may recover your data by paying him some charge.
    Other you can do that borrow some one's same model number and configuration laptop .Get the restoring disk and configure your same settings or you can download from web site.

    Try to restore you HCL laptop. This thing will may reset your previous setting.
    Do the following sites.
    //Click the start button which is bottom of left hand side.
    //Click to All Programs in the menu.
    //Then select the Accessories and then System tools.
    //Now go to the System restore.
    select date that you want to restore. Restore points are automatically created in the systems.

    Windows XP has built in function for system restore for restoring the computer. This feature is is used for returns to computer for computer failure and some big problem in it. The system restore point is used to restore system in condition which is workable without reinstalling again the operating system and without any loss of data.
