I am having Gateway 4540gz laptop with me, everything was working fine few days ago but from few days i am noticing that my battery is consuming more power and it's taking a very long time to get fully charged too. I don't have any ideas about it since i don't have any technical knowledge about it. Can anyone tell me what would be the issue.

It seems that there is some issue with your battery it might happen that your battery has gone weak or it's not working properly. If your laptop is under warranty period then i would suggest you to goto service center and tell them about the issue and mostly they will replace it and provide you with new battery or will find out what's the cause of it and fix this issue for you.
I suggest this is the one of the most common issue with Gateway laptop specifically with 4540gz model because when i went to service center most of the people came over there with same issue. When i asked technical executive he told me that there are some battery issue with this model and this is happening only in few laptops only and he gave me a new battery which is working very fine.
