The Corsair solid state disk drives utilize specially selected ICs to enable a life expectancy of over 100 years and impact resistance up to 1500Gs. Subjective experience so far is that it definitely feels as fast as both the Titan and the Core V1 w/ SteadyState. Obviously, since it has a Samsung controller and not the dreaded JMicron, there are zero stuttering issues. I think instant on reputation comes from much more expensive SLC drives that boot up in 15 seconds. That reputation doesn't apply for MLC drives although boot times are still faster than compared to mechanical drives.

Corsair CMFSSD-128GBG1D 2.5" 128GB SATA provides extra performance and reliability to your PC, this has the following benchmarks for this new solid state drive, the Corsair solid-state drives have no moving parts for a cool, rugged storage alternative. The lower power needs of the SSD translate to lighter notebooks with a longer battery life. If they are both clearly heads above a typical rotating hard drive, then I would likely stick with the Corsair just to avoid the headaches.

BTW all benchmarks were done using the same eSATA enclosure and QuadCore Intel processor running Highpoint RAID eSATA card (multiport capable). real world speeds are definitely heads above mechanical drives. And sorry, I didn't mean to imply that the Titan needs active cooling. It would do just fine without it, only wanted to point out that it is hotter, This is my first SSD. Installed in an older Intel MacBook Core Duo 1.86 GHz. Did a fresh Leopard + Windows 7 install using Boot Camp.
