    MSI launches CR400 notebook PC

    MSI has announced the launch of its new “Classic” notebook series. The models that make up the series include the 14-inch CR400, the 16-inch CX600 and CR600, and the 17.3-inch CX700 and CR700.

    According to a press release, the first model in the series – the 14-inch CR400 – features a uni-body design with 45-degree angled edges. The CR400 features a 14-inch display and 6-cell large-capacity battery and weighs 2 kgs. The CR400’s keyboard makes use of MSI’s EDS (Ergonomic De-Stress) technology. The CR400 uses GeForce 8200M G graphics processing unit,
    comes with a built-in high-resolution webcam and microphone. It supports 802.11 b/g/n high-speed WLAN, and incorporates a Bluetooth V2.0 + EDR module.


    The new CR400 features ECO Engine technology that is exclusive to MSI. The ECO Engine allows users to switch between entertainment, presentation, word processing and energy-saving modes, depending on what you need to use the notebook PC for at any given time. The CR400 also features special function keys for controlling brightness and volume, which are integrated with the 4-way scroll button to make it easier and more convenient for users to adjust brightness and sound.

    It also comes with a maximum 4GB of DDR2 RAM and 500GB of Hard Disk Space. MSI hasn’t revealed the pricing as yet.

    The CX700, CR700, CX600, CR600, and CR400 come with 17.3", 16", and 14" LCD screens with 16:9 theater ratio and weighing in at just 3kg, 2.48kg, and 2.1kg, respectively.     The product is compatible with Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium operation system and supports Intel Core 2 Duo processor with the Nvidia MCP79MVL chipset.The MSI CR400 Classic Notebook Series now available in retail shops in India for Rs. 33,000.
