Hi Gizmo, I read that by removing the CMOS battery you could cure the password BIOS password message. Just finnished putting together my Dell Inspiron 1525 after the dreded BIOS password issue. Miraculously I've got it back together in one piece but still the same BIOS password message.
Service Tag is 1NRCQ3J. Express Service Code: 36-134-477-11. I'd be eternally grateful if you could offer me a Bios Password? Happy to make a donation through Paypal or something for this.

What state do you reside in? I'm just curious because I was curious about the "laptop" situation... Hit me back with a PM so I can give you my email address so we can communicate a little easier.

I don't really ever log on here unless I have a problem, & I think my problems with this Dell are beyond anyone helping me here. I don't have the OS disc, I do have Windows 7 Pro OEM discs, but their all 64 bit that I have & I'm pretty sure this Dell is a 32 bit.... I'm about to this damn thing. One more attempt at cracking this thing viz a buddy of mine who's a computer god. If that doesnt' work, down she goes!!!

Anyways, my Dank's waiting , so hit me back ok.... Thanks for all the help again.. Sorry to be one of the one's with my hands out, but I'm always wiling to repay any favors given to me if it's ever possible for me to do so..

Guys, seems to me everyones take the mick out of Gizmo here. I had the same problem everyones describing here. I gave him a small donation on paypal, and he sorted it. Don't take the mickey, if these bios password issues are giving you as much ball ache as you say there are, sort the man out and you'll be back up and running in no time. If you are newbie than I must tell you to the simple steps. While your windows starts, continually and rapidly press delete key. That automatically unlocks your motherboard. Just try this or if this will not work for you than you have to upgrade your bios whish must help to unlock your motherboard…
