Asus has launched the G60, a 16-inch gaming laptop, reports Engadget. The attractive paint on the back of this laptop makes it look like some sci-fi movie gadget. At the first glance, the device looks similar to its predecessor, the G50.
It's a 16-inch beast, with a Core 2 Quad processor. It also packs 4GB of DDR3 RAM, from a 320GB to upto a 1TB solid state hard drive, Blu-ray, and the impressive GeForce GTX 260M graphics card, which has 1GB of GDDR3 RAM itself. All that gives it a 3DMark06 score of well over 10,000.The GeForce GTX 260M graphics card with 1GB RAM of its own promises to deliver an enhanced performance. The connectivity options of the laptop also include HDMI, SATA, FireWire and four USB connections. It also incorporates Blu-ray drive, 2 megapixel webcam and speakers from Altec Lansing. The Turbo button allows users to overclock the CPU during intense gaming sessions.
The Asus G60 gaming laptop is expected to hit the market this September and will be priced at £1,500 (approx. Rs.1,19,380).
