Verizon LG Voyager firmware update

I am using Verizon LG Voyager Mobile phone and i am facing lots of issue like low battery life performance and no difference between the displayed image etc. When i asked my friends about the same they told me that new firmware is available. Can anyone provide me some more information about the new firmware because i am not aware of it.
