dude,how can you convert an iPod into a mobile? It has no antenna for radio communication and no parts for frequency generation ,A software needs hardware as well
But keep in my mind guys Apple already done it, the iPhone

what a stupid question
mobile is a gadget which is used to communicate with people using radio frequency,on the other hand ipod is media device, we don't have hardware to mix the low frequency sound wave with high frequency carrier wave to obtain the radio frequency waves for transmission which are created by the microphone, at same time we have no discriminator also on ipod, so if you need to convert your ipod to a mobile what you think..a single software can make with out an hardware??
so obviously no way to convert a ipod to an mobile
