Sony Ericsson today said it has brought a 3G handset W995a Walkman phone to Americans as an unlocked device. This phone features a massive 8.1 megapixel camera.The slider is Sony Ericsson's most advanced non-touch media phone with Wi-Fi to complement its signature music jukebox applications

The W995a is a 3G-enabled phone (850/1900/2100MHz UMTS/HSPA) that’s geared towards folks seeking a premium multimedia experience. Primary functionality includes snapping photos and video, playing music and videos, or accessing the internet, we are satisfied with it’s a high-quality, compact way of doing all that.
The 8.1 meg pixel camera is a powerful Cybershot with face detection, auto-focus, image stabilization, and flash capability. It works like a regular camera flip it on its side and use the screen as a horizontal viewfinder

This handset incorporates a flight mode that turns off the radio transceivers of the phone while allowing users to use functions like games, calendar, music player and Blue tooth. It is availablein black, silver and red colors.The W995A will be available in stores and on SonyStyle.com for "about $600" on July 6th.
