    Hi,

Well, I'll explain you about this error's .......

    Device Errors 505 and 507

    Overview

You receive one of the following Java ® errors on your BlackBerry smartphone while using Application Loader to install BlackBerry
    Device Software:
    Device Error 505

    Device Error 507

    -------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------

    CAUSE

Both of the errors indicate that no applications are loaded on the BlackBerry smartphone.

The following are three possible reasons for the error:

    • While using Application Loader to install BlackBerry Device Software, existing applications on the BlackBerry smartphone were erased, and new applications failed to load.
    • All data and applications were erased when an incorrect password was typed ten times into the BlackBerry smartphone.
    • The Power Management feature on the computer has disabled the USB ports.

The following are possible resolutions for this issue.

    Complete the following steps:

    1. Verify that you have the BlackBerry Device Software installed on your computer. For instructions, see KB03295.

    3. If a third-party program, such as a virus scanner, is using the same COM port as BlackBerry Desktop Manager, close the third-party program to free the COM port for use.
    4. If you are using a USB adapter to connect your BlackBerry smartphone to a serial port on your computer, temporarily connect your BlackBerry smartphone to a computer with a USB port.
    5. Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager and double-click the Application Loader icon.
    6. Use the application loader tool to install the BlackBerry Device Software.

Note: If the application loader process fails, see KB03295.

Re: Error 507 when upgrading the OS from Blackberry

    Hi,

Install the BB Desktop Manager on another PC with Windows XP for example and try the firmware from the PC to install.

    Or

    Procedure:
A PC running BlackBerry Desktop Manager or Device Manager
The command line program javaloader.exe. Unfortunately only in RIM development environment on the download. Individually, the download is not legally be given. Google will help here but surely continue.
    BlackBerry Connect
A console (command prompt), open, eg via Start - Run - cmd.
The program: java loader <path>-usb wipe

Re: Error 507 while upgrading the Operating System of Blackberry

    Hi,

I had gone through the same error. Actually, I was not who I came across the error, but a person who works with me. In the middle of the Update, the computer error it made in Desktop Manager, which closed, and the Blackberry was a white screen with a drawing with 3 geometric shapes and the error message 507.

If you are in this situation, do not panic!

This error is displayed when the BlackBerry is no OS.

To resolve, go to C: \ Program Files \ Common Files (common files), Research in Motion, AppLoader and delete the file vendor.xml. Having deleted, open the Desktop Manager again and restart and the update process.

I just did and everything was fine.
