After the launch of Intel's mainstream and enterprise SSDs, companies with access to Flash memory technology have been trying to develop new solutions that can provide users with a higher level of performance, compared to the solutions that are currently available in the market. Corsair is one of them, as it will reportedly launch a new256GB SSD that can deliver read and write speeds in the 200MB/s mark.
Corsair is planning the launch of its ultra fast 256GB SSD. When it becomes available, the drive will be known as the Corsair P256 and will come with a total storage capacity of 256GB and a SATA-II interface. The new P256 SSD uses a Samsung S3C29RBB01-YK40 controller and Samsung memory chips, installed on a blue PCB. The entire solution will be encased in a heavy-duty aluminum enclosure and will most likely boast a 2.5-inch form factor. The Corsair P256 will be priced at $749.
