Cannot view movies in full screen on laptop

Hello,
Whenever i click full screen button on any media player, the movie does not go really full screen, it have black square box surrounding the movie frame, and the area shrink to become as half as before. Anyone have any idea? what to do?

Uninstall the drivers for video card and install updated new drivers. Also try to use driver cleaner. It removes all traces of previous drivers and ensures optimal system performance.It reduce system crashes and errors, avoids driver conflicts Keep your system clean and stable.

I had problems in windows Vista and K-Lite Mega Codec Pack and Media Player Classic, when installed last ati-graphic-drivers,then changed it to:
Cole 2 codec
GOM Player
You have to check graphic-drivers first to be sure that last-one is installed.

I had the same problem and found this solution and it worked. Try hovering over the video and right clicking. Select settings and uncheck enable hardware acceleration. Check for new graphics card drivers too.
