I need some help, and I'm very frustrated with this player at the moment.
I've been trying to sync my music to my Coby MP600 but when it's finished, about half of my music doesn't display on any of the menus. It's all on the drive when I check through My Computer and I can play it all directly off it.
What's made it so hard to troubleshoot for me is what music is missing. I'd understand if everything beyond a certain point (in the order I was putting it all on) wasn't being displayed. It'd make even more sense if random tracks were missing, suggesting protected files or something to that extent.
No, no, no. I put all the music on it twice separately (after a wipe in between) using both Windows Media Player and the bundled software Coby Media Manager, syncing a few bands worth of music to it at a time as I was working along down the list and here's the result:
Entire bands aren't being displayed in some sort of alphabetically ordered fashion. The results were a little different because I used different music for the two attempted syncs, but the pattern is about the same. Everything down to about K shows up, but everything between (around) there and (around) T is a ghost on my player- except for a band or two (very random) and near the end of the alphabet around half of the bands start showing up again.
I've tried making a playlist of all the songs on the device and removing certain things then putting them back on, but it doesn't seem to help.
The ****? posting on (probably inactive) message boards is my last resort but it takes me about three hours just to go through all my music and choose things for sync and when things like this happen at the end of all that it frustrates me and I'm actually angry right now that I didn't get a ****ing iPod for Christmas.
