How to check iPhone software version

Can anyone know how to check iPhone software version ? I want to download latest software but before that i want to check my software version.

To verify your software version, Easy simply select "settings -> General -> About" from the main menu. you will see the version number in the list.

You can also check iPhone software version by simply dial *3001#12345#* and then press the call button.
