    Enhance Wifi reception on laptop

Hello everyone, I have an HP Notebook 6720s with an Integrated WiFi 802.11b

Getting a public WiFi signal that installed my city but the reception is very weak and I have to stay stuck to the window and even so, the signal often falls.

Is there a way to amplify the reception of my notebook or to extend the signal that I receive?

Possibly a bang without spending money.

Such a thing could go right?

The public signal of what kind is it?

Often uses the 802 to .11 because through the use of special repeaters (similar to those of mobile phones) is also possible to cover quite extensive areas, but in these cases you will need the special antennas for receiving the signal and often for 'authentication in the network is using a special decoder.

In your case, however, if your city, there are some simple "HotSpot" wireless (ie workstations located near bars, public places like parks, etc ...) with type signal 802.11b, 802.11g 802.11n more than a new wireless card (like the one you've seen) you need a signal repeater to be placed at a point where it reaches the wireless network.

There are different types (from internal or external) and powers, most obviously will cost more to repeat the signal or will be treated under the point of view of.

thank you for your reply .... but an antenna similar to that which I indicated I would be in conflict with my WiFi card integrated?

Also where can I find the signal repeaters low price?

    Thanks

What you have seen is a true wireless USB adapter with integrated antenna, and then in your case it not good.

This probably because the scope of the USB adapter will be very similar to that of your wireless card built into laptop and use it automatically exclude it.

An alternative solution may be to buy a router / wireless access point and enable the repeater, but unfortunately not all have this feature.
