Samsung unveils new Guru Series mobile phones
Samsung has released a new line of phone models in India to help boost their Guru line. The 6 new handsets that were added to their Guru line included:
- Guru 1070
- Guru 1100
- Guru 1125
- Guru 1210
- Guru 1310
- Guru 1410
Boasting of the Bright Torch Light feature, the Samsung Guru 1070 and the Guru 1100 phones include a 65K color CSTN display. The Bright Torch Light feature allows the phone to offer torch light for up to 40 hours for the 1070 and up to 20 hours for the 1100 phone.
Loaded with an advanced Mobile Tracker feature, the phones include a powerful battery that should last around 12 hours in talk time. Other features of the two phones include a speakerphone and 40 polyphonic ringtones. While the Guru 1070 is more of an entry level phone, the Guru 1100 is packed with the MP3 downloadable ringtones, pre-embedded Bollywood ringtones and the popular Soduku Java game.
The Guru 1125, Guru 1210 and the Guru 1310 are FM-enabled phones that come in a stylish form factor. The Guru 1310 sports an eye-catching clamshell design with a Glossy front fabrication, while the Guru 1125 and the Guru 1210 boast of a candy bar shape.
Features of the 1125, 1210 and the 1310 phones include 65K Colour CSTN display, advanced Mobile tracker 40 polyphonic ringtones, a Hinglish database which allows users to communicate in a combination of Hindi and English and the Call Time Limit attribute that enables users to set a talk time limit per month. The 1125 offers a talk stereo FM support of around 17 hours and 1120 offers a talk time of around 12 hours and stereo FM of around 20 hours.
Finally, the Samsung Guru 1410 phone is expected to be the highlight of this new Guru series. Delivering support for MP3 files, the novel handset is bundled with dual loud speakers, 4MB internal memory expandable up to 4GB, stereo FM and Bluetooth. The phone also includes a 1GB Micro SD memory card.
