    Sony GPS-CS3KA image tracker

Sony’s GPS-CS1 geotagger has finally been updated with the GPS-CS3KA, the
Compatible with most Cyber-shot digital still cameras and Handycam camcorders. Record the time, date and location to each shot you take and enjoy them with the included Picture Motion Browser software. Once the images and data are on your PC, the supplied image tracker software synchronizes the photos with latitude, longitude and time reading from the GPS-CS3KA unit. Activate the Picture Motion Browser software and your photos will pop up next to pushpins on Google® maps by the actual location where you shot the picture. The geotagger sports a 128 MB memory capacity, has dual MS/SD card slots, Picture Motion Browser v4.2 software, and runs on a single AA battery for 15 hours.

There are so many GPS loggers out there right now, but I can’t help but think of them as transitional technology — it’s a kludge compared to camera GPS accessories or built-in GPS, but at least it’s a universal kludge (at least the ones that are Mac compatible, that is).
