ASUS Eee PC 901 16GB in safe mode

I can not get my Eee PC 901 16GB in safe mode, F8 works and gives me the option to do and seems to open XP in this mode but after waiting a long black screen with XP but it runs normally.

    Advice?

Start your XP normally, once executed go to Run (from start or press Windows logo key + R) and type: msconfig and on the General tab, select Diagnostic Startup. Then restart.

Finally do not forget to redo this to either Normal or Selective Startup as usual once your actions in Safe Mode made.

I did as you told me but it does not, it is the same as before. When I change to start in diagnostic mode and I press Apply here what I said:

"An error of denied access was returned while trying to change a service. You may need to log in using an administrator account (I am not already an administrator?) To make the specified changes" It is also a DOS window type at the bottom right disappears very quickly, therefore no time to see what is written. Then invited me to restart pc or restart later.

Until it is the reason why I want to start in Safe mode is to turn the Bluetooth icon that comes default on my desktop. If there is another solution I'm interested but I would like to solve the initial problem, I will probably need in the future.

Thank you for your help in any case

Try to see if this manipulation did not abolish the office:

Right click on the Desktop - Properties. In the Properties window, select the Desktop tab and then click Customize Desktop. On the General tab of the window elements of the desktop, click the Clean Desktop Now.
In the wizard, just check the box for whom you want the Desktop Icons and then click Next button. The wizard will create a folder on the desktop namely Unused Desktop Shortcuts. You can then remove it completely by selecting it and pressing "Shift" + "Delete" simultaneously and confirm the removal (without going through the trash).
