    dont panic
place ipod in a warm spot, Wait as much longer you can ,that is better. It needs to completely dry out. wait until the iPod is completely dry before using it.
now after complete dry out try to start it ;at this point any thing can happen its just on your luck, if some part had damage then it will not start other wise good time .

    hello
i had washed out my ipod in washing machine twice but it is still working fine .
just check for physical damage for screen or pad if that is not happen then dont worry. actually what we paid for is worth it and ipod is not that easily going to affect by water .
