Problem with 16 GB pen drive

i have a 16 GB Kingston pen drive . Now when i try to copy anything it asks for formatting and when i try to format it the format action is not completed . I don't know what happen can some one help me ?

I think the driver of that pen drive has got deleted and the pen drive is non functional at all .

Pen drive may be damaged and if its new then returned it from where you bought it.
