    iPhone and home wifi network

    Hi all,
I have recently purchased the 3G iPhone and all is well apart from my iPhone will not use my home wifi connection. It continues to use the 3G even while I am at home, feet from the router! it is a secure Network which I have the password and key for. When I forget the network and then re-join it I need to enter the password, and the iPhone claims to be connected to the Wifi network but still uses 3G for all safari browsing and mail. I am using AOL and a Netgear router. I would claim only to be proficient with PC's and I am looking for advice as the iPhone has no problems using wifi when out in public places (Starbucks etc). Do I need to manually put IP addresses, DNS, Router details etc?
    Suggestions please. thanks

try setting the proxy off or auto, also disconnect the power from the router and reconnect.
