Problem with HP Compaq 6720s

I have a problem with a notebook HP Compaq 6720s. At first I had Windows Vista, which decided to remove Windows XP and put EU V6.

Everything worked well, until one day I decided to connect the headphones. Normally, all normal, but my surprise was that from that moment Portable speakers have stopped working. Listen very weak and distorted sound.

Instead connecting headphones or external speakers sound is completely normal.

Someone knows it can happen. I tried to reinstall the driver, but I have no idea that it may have happened.

Well, to rule out that the audio hardware is broken, first try other speakers.
If it works well with other speakers, then the problem is your speakers.

If talking with the other works well, then I would recommend that the laptop starts with a livecd Linux, and make sure you walk sound good. If a Linux livecd also you wrong, then you have ruined the audio hardware.

If you go well with Linux, then Windows software problem. I recommend that you change the driver, or that you contact the technical support of HP.
