Problem with ipod

I buy a 3rd generation ipod 20 GB. I then saw that the battery was not working so I bought one, then seeing that the iPod does not work I also changed the hard drive.

Except that I still have a problem, itunes recognizes my ipod but does not detect the size of the hard drive and asks me to restore the ipod because it is corrupt.

I have tried a so many times but still not working.

In disk management of windows (My Computer> Manage> Disk Management) it takes some time to appear when the iPod is connected, then it is a mark that is unreadable

Can some one help me ?

You should have to claim warranty, If you have the manufacturer's warranty that will works.
