Toshiba today announced a number of new laptops in its Dynabook and Qosmio series [JP] in Japan. More notable than the Dynabook models are two Qosmio notebooks that are geared towards the heavy gamer segment and will go on sale in Japan at the end of this month and at the beginning of January, respectively.
The Toshiba Dynabook Qosmio GX and FX laptops will hits the mark for the gaming enthusiast. Both of laptops sports a Core 2 Duo P8600 2.4GHz processor, a Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT graphic card, an Intel PM45 Express Chipset, a 4GB of RAM, a 320GB of hard drive, a DVD super-multi burner, 1.3-megapixel webcam, and integrated a biometric fingerprint sensor. Otherwise, you’ll expect to get Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, four USB ports, eSATA port, HDMI port.
There are two display sizes to choose from - 18.4" at 1,680 x 945 resolution or 15.4" at 1,280 x 800 resolution. Depending on the model you pick, prices range from approximately €1,700 to €1,960.
