M-Audio Transit USB - no sound

I used the transit USB initially only to my digital music files in the laptop to get. When playing music from the hard disk of the laptop I used a long time, the converter in my DAT recorder, which I now wanted to send into retirement.

Now I have the Transit USB with USB cable to the laptop is connected, my Topfield disk recorder with Toslink cable to the USB Transit and the (analog) amplification via RCA / stereo jack cable to the USB connected transit.

If I now use the click-freeware on the Internet for music search, I hear on the stereo nothing. Nor can I downloaded music files (MP3), I had with the Windows Media Player open, not heard.

I really do not know what's wrong.

The transit is sometimes "self"!
It remembers exactly the USB port on it during the installation was connected, which also applies for hubs!

This means that you must always have the same port for connection, since the transit drivers otherwise tend to be reinstalled wants!

If the transit despite using the correct ports still does not work, simply connect the USB cable into your computer (!) Once or several times from and re-infect. Then it should really work.

If, despite the correct port of transit no signal comes, it is usually on an incorrect driver configuration of the playback software. If the driver configuration ok and there is still nothing, computers can reboot.

I have a similar problem, I can only transit the 96kHz mode.for computer-ton actually ok, it's the best quality, but dd / dts pass through is no more! So here all times modes:

- 48kHz, 16 bits, either digital or analog output signal, map remains silent
- 48 kHz, 24 bit the same
- 96 Khz, 24 bits 2 in, 0 out: recording from external sources, digital or analog still possible
- 96 Khz, 24 bits 0 in, 2 out: digital playback as well as analog faultless & well
- DD / DTS passthrough: silence, even with PowerDVD, about which I have DVDs in surround sound with my AVR've played.

These details are different modes of the sound card. Be successively:
- Number of incoming audio channels (2 = right + left, so stereo)
- Number of on digital and analog interface output channels
- Signal quality 16-bit or 24-bit
- Digital sampling rate either 48kHz or 96kHz

We recognize that no 96kHz simultaneous recording and sound possible. This is the sound or recording quality in 96kHz mode better, according to a range of what I try to understand it could. These are exclusively on the digital output the original sound tracks in Dolby Digital or DTS output and may require an appropriate surround receiver decoded.

: I feel the same way with the transit:
Windows XP home,
no sound on the analog output, the analog input I have not tested.
Sound only via optical output.
When you call the M-Audio control is also to note that the Transit USB has not been found.
Reinstalling the driver has not been used, got the extra latest drivers from M-Audio downloaded.

Has the Edirol UA-1EX actually a disadvantage compared to the transit?
