I am using a logitech marble trackball and the old keyboard from my first computer, and want to get something better. I know wireless doesnt work well for gaming so I guess wired ones,laser or optical?

I recommend a wired one, not a wireless one because the radiations could drive you crazy if you spend lots of time on the pc. And a mouse with laser would be best.

I am using Saitek Eclipse keyboard and the Logitech MX 518 mouse its wonderful for gaming.
