Olympus announces their upcoming prosumer E-A1 digital camera, and offers a few specs in the process.
Olympus has announced their upcoming E-A1 digital SLR camera.
This DSLR is meant to target the prosumer market that falls between their E-520 and E-3 models, and will be launched early next year.
The E-A1 will utilize Four Thirds technology for lenses, and will feature the same 11-point auto focus twin-cross sensor, as well as the twistout display. The shutter speed will max out at 1/8000 second. While a list of all the features is yet to be released, Olympus did hint towards general prosumer features, including face detection and shadow adjustment.
The body will be lighter and smaller than the E3, and will have better weather sealing against the elements.
Yet still, there's no info on price, though we do know it will be more than the $600 E-520, and less than the $1500 E-3.
