WorkLight Inc., an Enterprise2.0 company, today announced the release of the WorkLight Server support for the Apple iPhone, which allows companies, to do business securely using the popular mobile device. Businesses can now empower their customers and partners to use the iPhone to make purchases and track account and transaction activities. This is a critical business enabler for a wide range of industries, such as travel and hospitality, financial services, healthcare, utilities and others. From today, the same WorkLight services that have been available across a host of popular desktop and web platforms are now available via mobile phones.

The iPhone is the newest addition to the 14 Web 2.0 platforms that WorkLight supports. These platforms include personalized homepages, social networks, RSS, social tagging and bookmarking and others. WorkLight plans to announce support for additional mobile platforms in the future.
