Airis netbook with 3G and 10.2-inch screen

Nearly six months after leaving France to its first netbook in partnership with The Phone House, Airis Spanish society will soon update with a new model ultraportable at low prices.

If its final name is not yet known, its principal technical characteristics are already. This netbook of Airis and now have a 10.2-inch screen capable of displaying a resolution of 1024 x 800 pixels, plus a 6-cell battery providing autonomy announced nearly 5:30 in continuous use.

Airis will abandon the platform Via, used on the first netbook "Airis 740", to exploit the Intel platform Atom, used in most terminals competitors in the market. For the rest, the netbook will have 160 GB hard drive, 1 GB of RAM, WiFi, Bluetooth, a 1.3 megapixel webcam and a Windows XP system.

Last but not least, the mini-PC laptop Airis incorporate a controller 3G and 3G + "3G + +" (via the standard HSUPA to have a balanced flow - up and down - data transfer) from Chinese "Huawei". It will be delivered on that occasion with a software suite facilitating the connection on the networks high-speed mobile operators hexagonal.

The new netbook of Airis should be marketed in a fortnight to shop The Phone House for a price of 499 euros TTC, excluding operator subsidies.

I find it a pity that there are no Linux version (you've probably already understood my point of view), and second negative point, why a hard disk of about 160GB? I find that the interest of a netbook is for a large storage capacity.

I liked mine for choosing Asus 901 for the version of Linux, with 16GB to ssd (instead of for the 12GB version of XP). But why is it not marketed!
