Help! laptop very slow

Hi,

My pc is having some problem, when windows loading starts, it takes around 10-12 minutes and then finally was loaded when I open some (5 or 6 ) Websites and trying to open any program or word (antivirus, anti-spy, etc.) and I get that Windows has a minimum of virtual memory, plus when trying reproduce music or videos looks like that it hangs, and definitely take some viruses but I used the Avast antivirus and analysed the system, but can not find anything. I also use the Ad-aware but just delete the files listed as infected but still with the same problems.


What can I do to remove this problem?
The characteristics of my Laptop are: Compaq Presario 2100, Windows XP Home Edition, Intel Celeron M 1.40 GHz, 256 MB RAM.

Hi,

Download CCleaner and run it using his first option "cleaner" All options to remove Internet Explorer, Windows Explorer and System, (minus the history of completion) then uses his option "Register" to clean the entire Windows registry ( making backup).

Once this has finished cleaning everything, updates Java, made a defragment the disk with the option of Windows and passes through www.windowsupdate.com to download all the patches available (if your system permitting)

That such a firewall, thank you very much for your advice but fijate already applied what I said, if I removed quite a few errors and files with CCleaner, but even taken to load the same time.
