As a racing gamer, you are sure to enjoy playing Firemint's Real
Racing game for Apple's iPhone. The 3D title sports pretty much everything you'd expect from a hard-core racing title, from intricate circuits to special model racing cars. The game, as you would assume, takes advantage of the iPhone's accelerometer and responds to the user's tilting the device left to right, to control the steering. Accelerating seems to be automatic (no need to touch the surface of the screen to speed up). Also, the game includes an option to upload your lap times, yet the video demo available below can't confirm the functionality of the feature since Safari could not open the page "because it [was] not connected to the Internet".

iPhone Buzz claims "Real Racing will also have online features, including the ability to automatically convert your most recent lap to a video and upload it to YouTube," MacsimumNews is reporting. "Firemint plans applications for Facebook and other social networking sites that would allow racers to show off their lap times, as well as hosting mini-leagues on their own servers," says the same report.

By utilizing Firemint's next generation Cloudcell technology suite, Real Racing for iPhone is touted as "a no compromise look at the future of racing games".

"A truly competitive experience with 'just one more go' gameplay" is also one of the game's top features, with head to head multiplayer via WiFi or OTA, and the ability to track your friends' performance using Real Racing's Facebook and OpenSocial applications. Players will also be able to publish their best laps to YouTube, according to the features list, using "web tools from Real Racing's user portal".
