Meizu’s M8 is an iPhone clone

Meizu’s M8 is an iPhone clone that comes with a 3.3 inch 720 x 480 resolution display, Bluetooth connectivity, a 3MP camera, and an ARM11 processor capable recording video at 30fps. The handset is powered by Windows Mobile 6 operating system and comes with TV-Out connectivity.

Meizu's long-delayed M8 (MiniOne) touchscreen phone may be ready next month, according to posts by company chief J. Wong. The Chinese firm plans to release more images and details of the phone in August and hints that it may launch a basic version with 128MB of memory and an unspecified amount of permanent memory the same month. A second version, with 256MB of memory and 8GB of flash storage, would ship in October for a price equal to $320.

Several photos of a working M8 have also appeared and show the device with an interface that has apparently regressed since earlier changes with a look that more closely resembles the iPhone the M8 has been accused of replicating since it was announced by Meizu in early 2007. The media interface shares a similar layout with repeat and shuffle modes available from the top of the screen.

Neither Wong nor Meizu at large have discussed the likelihood of the M8 being sold at large outside of China, though it's widely believed that copyright issues will keep the phone from normal sales in North America.

Meizu M8 launch in December of 2008 in India

The Meizu M8 has some really wonderful specifications. The biggest strength of the mobile phone is its features that are same as the iphone. Another wonderful feature of the phone is the 3 Mega Pixel cameras. Also included in the phone is a wonderful media player apart from the usual FM radio. The phone also has a full blown EDGE support as well as a Bluetooth connectivity option complete with an A2DP profile.

Also the M8 has a 3.2-inch touch screen LCD display. The phone has the advanced version of Windows CE for its operating system. Right now the company is not promising any 3G support in the phone.

The Meizu M8 is actually due for a launch in December of 2008. The approximate price as of now is Rs. 21,000 for the model with an 8 GB memory.
