Should devices by Xiaomi and Oppo must be banned in India

Many chinese manufacturer like Xiaomi and Oppo are quiet trying their luck in India. Recently Xiaomi has done record sales by selling ultra budget phones with high end configuration. There might be more amazing models coming up in future. Micromax is the local brand which was quiet popular in India. After a plea filed by Micromax, High Court Delhi has banned Oppo OnePlus One sale in India. In the same way Xiaomi is also banned by HC, on Ericsson complaint based on patent infringement. Do you think these Chinese manufacturers must be banned or allowed to sale phone in India.

Re: Should devices by Xiaomi and Oppo must be banned in India

I think they must be allowed. That is because they are providing relatively high end phone in good price. It is hard for others like Micromax to meet the quality requirements. It will be hard for brands like LAVA, Micromax, Karbonn, etc to perform if this phones are selling like hot cakes. And also there must be some way to stop this thing. So these local brands I think are trying hard to push out Chinese sellers from India. This has happened before also when there were too many clone phones.

They are not purposely banned. The high court issued order because they are just not following proper patent stuff. And that is why they are being stopped from selling the phone. It is actual a fair play. If you read the news you can find out that the devices which these companies are selling has some issue with patent infringement. And usually all companies in India has a proper right to fight for the same. Xiaomi and Oppo are not completely banned. Their particular devices are being banned for sale.
