In future does a Smartphone camera will replace DSLR

Slowly new technology is increasing the camera capability of a mobile phone. Today smartphones have more powerful camera. Devices like Lumia 1020 has 41MP camera which is yet not available in any DSLR. I think in coming time Smartphones will soon take the place of DSLR camera. The only difference lies is in the traditional way of taking photos. What do you think about this.

There is a big difference between a camera and between a mobile phone. Camera is a dedicated device for photography having a powerful image processing technology. A smartphone can give you good portrait shots but when it comes to photography you have to get a good camera.

It is correct that the camera of Smartphone changed really fast. Today we get 8MP camera most commonly on any mid or high end smartphone. New innovation are making this camera more and more powerful. Like in HTC One you can see a new kind of ultra pixel camera is used. This give more amazing image quality compare to any other mobile phone. I had tested a series of different smartphones and every new model has a new innovation. Camera are getting more and more portable. But they are not getting weaker. They are powerful enough to give you rich image quality. The benefit of dslr is that you have a big lens in the front side. You have option to use different accessories while you cannot do that in the smartphone. That is the place where it gets limited.

It is not possible. A DSLR has more controls over photography compare to smartphone. It is complicated to get professionals shots through a mobile camera. It is designed for personal use while digital camera are for professional people.

Cameras were having a unique place in the market some years ago. After when smartphone came they capture a good amount of market. While camera are only designed to work with photos and videos. You can make call, surf web and share your photos. Smartphone also are good for entertainment. So who want to carry a big size camera with them. The second important thing which will affect the choice of buying a camera is the budget. Smartphones are more affordable.

It is possible due to new innovation. In last few years things in mobile technology is changing really fast. We are able to see something really new and advance here. Compare to that DSLR are still behind. Many of them are still depending on the old technology and does not give you much. Here manufacturers like Apple are making the mobile camera more and more better. Its devices like iPhone are worth if they are compared with a regular point to shoot camera. Even HTC like devices are having amazing camera quality. They produce super sharper images with clear and crisp output. Samsung is also not behind. Sony is smart enough to give you high megapixel camera.
