Overclocking P4 2.4GHz Processor (Mercury 845 motherboard)

hi all

i hav a mercury motherboard based on the intel 845 chipset and a P4 2.4GHz processor

is it possible to overclock my system? if yes to wot speed can i overclock without the need for custom cooling setup (i use the stock fans)

i hav another question. this doesnt quite fit in here but anyways just askin!

can i boot from a DVD with my motherboard? i dont see the DVD option in the boot options in the bios settings.

Well, yes,u can definitely overclock ur defaults CPU n Other system speeds, I guess on stock cooling,u can overclock upto 2.6Ghz(nt Sure though) but mind it , if u r changin ur mobo's FSB settings rather than HTT, u'll hve to change ur voltages level too , or u'll end up wid a fried mobo.Y don't u spend some green paper n get urself a gud cooling system.

As for ur DVD option, just flash ur BIOS with a latest version available on ur manufacturer's website n than u'll able to boot frm DVD as well.
