    HP Pavilion p7-1449 overclocking

I am having a HP Pavilion p7-1449 Desktop PC and the problem that I am facing is that I cannot find the proper settings to overclock the CPU in this computer. This desktop pc comes with a MSI MS-7778 (Jasmine) motherboard and also AMD A10-5700 CPU? Can anyone tell me how do I overclock my system via BIOS or any software? Thanks

Since you have a desktop pc it might be possible that the computer manufacturer has locked the overclocking settings. There are many versions of different motherboards and manufacturers usually change them and update them with their own things. So, it could be that you are out of luck and therefore you dont have the overclocking options available in your desktop pc.

The AMD A10-5700 processor in your desktop pc is not an overclockable CPU and therefore even if there was any settings to overclock or use software to overdrive the CPU it will not do anything. Also since your motherboard is locked so you dont get the option for overclocking. One thing you can do to unlock your motherboard is to move the two pins connected by a black jumper in the middle and right jumper and then move it back to original jumpers, but if you dont know how to do it properly then ignore it.

It will be good if you dont overclock the AMD A10-5700 APU. The APU with the K series are meant to be overclocked like the A10- 5800K. But still you can try to enable the MTVU hack and if it results in slowdowns then you will have to lower the resolution to Native as well. Anyhow you can use AMD Overdrive to overclock most of the new Amd CPUs even if they dont support overclocking but you will hardly notice any difference.
