Intel Core i7-3770K or AMD FX-8350 ? for new rig

I have decided to build up a new rig for carrying out my graphic designing tasks easily. I will be using resource hungry software’s like auto cad, 3d max and few more. I have decided almost all the other components. I just need suggestion for the best one amongst Intel Core i7-3770K and AMD FX-8350. I have asked the same question to some people but I have got varying response, I just want experts over here to clear my doubt so I could get the best processor.

If you are planning to get Intel Core i7-3770K and overclock it then just go for it. As far as I am aware Intel Core i7-3770K is better compared to AMD FX-8350. I have gone through number of tests that has been carried on these cards for gaming tasks. Intel Core i7-3770K was winning clearly with no limits of comparison. Since Intel Core i7-3770K has stood first for gaming tasks I am quite sure that it will give you better performance for your graphic designing tasks as well.

I really don’t trust what Yoteen has mentioned above.
Intel Core i7-3770K is @ 3.5Ghz
AMD FX-8350 is @ 4.8Ghz
So considering that AMD FX-8350 will perform better compared to Intel Core i7-3770K until you overclock it. I doubt you will be able to achieve 4.8 GHz even after overclocking Intel Core i7. Go for AMD FX-8350 without any doubt.

I guess you are mistaken. I will like to inform you that Intel Core i7-3770K runs at 3.6GHz after four cores are loaded where as AMD FX-8350 runs on 4.1GHz IIRC when eight cores are loaded. I don’t think that would make much difference. I also wanted to add that FX-8350 will use double the power of Intel Core i7.

I know that FX-8350 will use double the power of Intel Core i7 but on the other hand it’s quite cheaper compared to Intel Core i7-3770K. The money that would be saved in buying FX-8350 can be used for getting a better power supply.

AMD FX 8350 is available for Rs. 12694
Isn’t there a great difference, AMD processors are really better for graphic designing and gaming tasks.

Thanks for sending the test link, I have crossed checked it now and I think you and Yoteen were very right with their words. I don’t want to run in to any more confusion and comparison. Ill better get Intel Core i7-3770K, thanks for clearing my doubt.
