Intel i3 2120 is one processor which can be easily overclocked as compared to other processors. You simply need to add the multiplier in the BIOS. At the last bit of frequency that you can extend this processor, you will find bit of difficulty in maintaining the stability. You can overclock it up to 4.4 GHz without any problem or any major changes. The only problem with this motherboard is that Memory Slot is near with socket board. So the heat generated by Memory slot can affect the socket board. You will need to provide a good cooling while overclocking this processor as it generates a lot of heat. You have to provide good cooling fans and heatsinks to absorb the heat. I suggest that you use a liquid based cooling system to achieve the best cooling while overclocking this processor. Also you will need to put a good amount of load on this processor to achieve the best result. Keep changing the thermal cooling paste regularly to avoid the heatsink from being saturated from heat it absorbs. Also if the computer is overheating, it is preferred to keep it shut down for a long time.
