The first thing you necessitate to do is a load of interpretation up on overclocking your system. The i5 2500K is an awfully simple chip to overclock with as you can merely alter the multiplier. Simple as that! If you desire to squeeze the last little MHz out of it that will require a fragment more information but just make certain that your cooling is superior and ramp up the multiplier.

That cooler should be fine to overclock you i5 as they don't get anywhere nearly as hot as the older CPUs. They run very cool in fact. Any guide that uses your CPU will give you good info but remember you cannot just pull numbers out of a post from someone else as all sorts of things can be different.

If you are enquiring whether the boot order can do a double boot when overclocked then the reply is yes but it is not incomplete to just Gigabyte, a lot of boards do this particularly Intel platforms.

You should be able to get up to about 4.4 GHz without any trouble. You will need to run some stress test programs then to see if it is steady 24/7. Things like Prime95, OCCT, etc nevertheless do keep a look at on the temperatures when they are running. You can use programs such as CoreTemp, RealTemp, etc.
