First time overclocking ASRock Z68 Extreme4 i5-2500k

I want some advice before going ahead with overclocking of ASRock Z68 Extreme4 board. I am using Intel Core i5-2500k processor on the same. My system is quiet high end but I had never gone with overclocking. So this is extremely new to me. Which is the best way to overclock. I do not to push my system at extreme limits. I want my system to work fine when I am playing games at maximum resolution.

You can do that through AXTU. This is a overclocking utility by Asus. Called as ASRock Extreme Tuning Utility, it can help you to get standard performance. It has everything in it. It offers you a Hardware Monitor through which you can collect more detail information about your configuration. It has Fan Control utility with Overclocking and many advance features. So just checkout this utility first. If you are unable to find then you can also install it.

AXTU does not has a automated option to overclock. You have to manually increase the cpu ratio here. And then you can also increase the cpu voltage and other things. You can try to add this utility in your system first. I have a MSI board in which I got a automated turbo boost software. When I start, this tool automatically overclock my pc. It is able to provide the right amount of power whenever it is needed. Here you don't have to mess with manual settings.
