Overclocking of AMD Bulldozer to 4.63 GHz

A little time has passed since the last flight AMD Bulldozer went to the Web, but things seem to get going again and what better way for the FX series processors, again at the center of attention with an impressive 4.63GHz overclock. For all we know at this point in time, the FX-8130P is supposed to be the fastest desktop processor AMD Bulldozer, and with eight processing cores running at a base frequency of 3.8GHz. Does anyone have a Super PI compared with last Intel desktop all day the same?

The CPU who achieved this feat seems to be an engineering example of the FX-8130P and requires 1.5 V to be stable sufficient to run the Super Pi benchmark rate mentioned. Based on the load positioned on their cores, the chip can add to its frequency up to 4.2GHz, credit to the technology of AMD Core 2.0 Turbo. Besides the modules Bulldozer four, the FX-8130P includes 8 MB of Level 2 cache and 8 MB of L3 cache and an integrated dual channel controller that supports DDR3 memory modules-1866.

To solve these problems of speed, AMD reported its plans to build a booster Bulldozer, called B2, which should make the chips competitive with offerings from Intel. The delay will not affect 6200 Opteron processors based on the architecture of Interlagos, which was verified recently by AMD and a pair of two CPU dies in the same package to form 12-core and 16-core Bulldozer for the market servers.

You have to gaze more intimately at the picture, because it says it has been edited. Time is of pi to 1M and time is 1X.Y29 seconds (where 0<X<9 and 0<Y<9),which means that it is between 10.029 and 19.929 seconds, which is a great variety, and if it is closer to 10 is not bright for the required voltage 4.6GHz. It seems rather silly for a financial analyst to mention all the other new family of AMD CPU and just jump to the Trinity, while call BD. If that's the case, the guy should hit the unemployment lines.

I think you need to develop a more sophisticated internal filtering and sorting when it comes to sites that are classified as "press" in comparison with the sites to be classified as "personal opinion ignorant uneducated guy in xyz topic ". There is almost no difference between today worth a topic in a forum discussion that followed generated within a thread, an article of speculation rumor-mill that produces the ensuing discussion in the comments section of the article itself, and a blog that generates the ensuing discussion in the space of Twitter and so on.

Even Sandy Bridge was producing some rather poor results in early leaks. Even if the leaks are real, they are a static snapshot of a dynamic and changing script. Look no further, GPU and maturity of the driver, or the fact that we can all more or less have to update the BIOS of our motherboard at some point, and you know that banks in the pre-release hardware possibly can be expected to tell a reliable story about the performance of future products for retail sale.

I think the case can be made to the leaks to speak with the minimum return that we expect to see in the retail product (yield, not the probability of reduction, unless things occurring TLB bug), but I feel confident that the rule of thumb is that these leaks - if they are legit - just paint a worst case scenario of future performance. Purposely avoid looking at banks leaked pre-release hardware, cannot wait to adequately characterize the performance hardware release and in the absence of prices and consumption of energy, we cannot reach any conclusion Preliminary terms of price / performance and performance / watt.
