Possible highest stable overclock for Gigabyte gtx 460

MY system is using MSI afterburner for some overclocking purposes. The card I am using is GTX 460 and I can get clock values like 870/1740/2200 at voltage set to 1.050. As you know it is semi stable and I will get red screen if I push forward that. Now my question is how forward I can able to push the voltage with this card to get stable. Another question is GPU-z is no reading Fan speed as well as core temperature but I can get it in MSI afterburner. What is the reason for this issue? Am missing something in settings?

I can say that this is not STABLE. But when you see in 3Dmark vantage, it doesn’t crash at all but may get a bit crazy upon the primary GPU test. I have an EVGA GTX460 1GB SC edition and the reading as follows. I can get Core clock/ shader clock/ memory clock as 887/1775/2275 at 1.012v voltage respectively. Now my challenge is to play it with some little more but it really acquires 17,989 points in 3Dmark vantage and the GPU stock resolution point also gains 14,868 points.

Re: Possible highest stable overclock for Gigabyte gtx 460

When I testing through the Furmark for same GTX 460 it seem to me very stable when analyzing below:
    core clock: 880
    shader clock: 1760
    memory clock: 2250
    core Voltage:1075 mV

Now I am thinking that can I push it a bit further? In my opinion memory can set off a bit high, something higher than 890 MHz core clock at maximum permitted voltage by Afterburner is unbalanced. But I think that core clock: 880 and shader clock: 1760 is a best stable point for my 768MB GTX 460. When bechmarking with Furmark maximum temperature got is 72C that even in 99% GPU usage along with aircooled and 80%+ fan speed.

I think that for now semi stable is enough for this condition. Because you are not getting any temperature reading as well as the Fan speed. Do you have the CPU usage and its temp? Use Furmark to obtain proper temperature reading either of your CPU or GPU. To check fan speed you may use other tools. i think you can raise the voltage to 1.08

Actually the stability depends on selection precise card. Each one is a speck special and a few necessitate additional voltage to attain a definite aim, if they capable at all. The stock clock or resolution threshold you preserve set out up and about with Afterburner is 1.087v. Most 460s can make to core clock to 850MHz and memory clock to 1000MHz.
